The project
Brief
Scuola di Magia Italiana is a three day event inside a real castle, turned into an academy: every child gets a uniform, is assigned to a house and follows subjects like spells, potions and ancient runes. Those who come back the following year move up an academic year. It is an experience you can only sell by showing it, and the audience deciding are parents scrolling Instagram. They asked us for the reels.
The challenges
- Conveying a three day experience in a few seconds
- Filming in the evening, in dimly lit interiors, inside a castle
- Filming with minors, so great care over what is shown
- A tone that convinces parents without losing the children
The solution
We went for atmosphere instead of explanation: fire, potions, cloaks, the castle at night. The edit is fast in the first seconds, because that is where the viewer decides whether to keep watching, and slows down where a happy face needs to be seen. The reels are vertical and built to be watched without sound, with the rhythm carried by the cuts.

The atmosphere
Fire and half light are the tone of the experience. These are the images parents recognise at a glance, the ones that make three days in a castle feel like an experience, not a summer camp.
The castle
The castle's real rooms do half the work. A single well made image says how considered the event is, more than any list of activities.
The kids
In the end it is about the kids, and it is their faces, between one activity and the next, that convince another parent to sign up their own.
