In detail
Some work is not really covered by any subscription software, and it ends up held together by four spreadsheets, a WhatsApp group and the memory of whoever was there. We build the piece that is missing, designed around the way the company already works rather than the other way round.
These are not websites with a form bolted on: they are real applications, with their own database, users with different permissions, automations running overnight and notifications arriving on the phone. They open in any browser and install like an app (PWA), with no app store in between.
We know because we use one: Eddibot, Eddidesign's internal system, was built this way and is the tool we use to find clients, audit their sites, write quotes and track hours. A second one is being built for another business.

In detail
Process analysis
Before writing a line of code we look at how you work today: which files go around, who fills them in, where time is lost. Often half the features asked for at the start turn out to be unnecessary, and this is the part that saves the most money.
Bespoke application
Building the application itself: screens, database, roles, permissions. A modern stack (Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL) and code that belongs to you, not a platform you can never leave.
PWA and phone use
The system installs on the phone like an app, works on a weak connection and sends push notifications. For anyone working out of the office it is the difference between using it and not using it.
Automations and integrations
The things always done the same way get done by the software: reminders, automatic emails, periodic reports, syncing with the services you already use. This is where a management system stops being an archive and starts saving hours.
Deployment and maintenance
Server, domain, certificates, automatic backups and updates. A management system is a working tool: if it stops, the office stops, so we keep it monitored.
The process
Walking the business
We spend half a day watching how you work: the spreadsheets, the handovers, the things done twice. Out of it comes the list of what the software has to do and, more importantly, what it does not.
Clickable prototype
Before development you see the real screens and click through them. Changing your mind here costs an afternoon; changing it once the work is done costs weeks.
Module by module
We build one piece at a time, starting with whatever wastes the most time. Each module goes into use as soon as it is ready, so the system enters the company gradually rather than in one traumatic switch.
Go live and hand-holding
Installation on the server, migration of the data you already have, training for the people who will use it. Then we stay connected for the adjustments, which there always are in the first months.

Hosting and technical support are a yearly fee starting at $900.
Projects from $3,000 up can be paid in up to 3 instalments at no extra cost, or up to 6 with a 5% surcharge. Retainers are excluded: they are already billed periodically.
