Vanitosa Accessori

The project

Brief

Vanitosa sells accessories online. In a physical shop the product can be touched, online there is only the photograph: if the picture does not convince, no description will save the sale. They asked for a shoot that showed the materials and the way the accessories are actually worn.

The challenges

  • Small objects, where the material detail is the sale
  • Glossy and metallic surfaces, hard to light without reflections
  • A coherent set of shots, because on an e-commerce site they sit side by side
  • Images that work both on the product page and on social

The solution

We alternated worn shots, which convey proportion and fit, with close details that show the material. The light is soft and diffused, to control reflections on glossy surfaces without killing the metal. The whole series keeps the same colour temperature and treatment, so on the e-commerce grid the photographs do not fight each other.

What we made

The pieces of the project

The worn shot

It conveys proportion and fit: online the product cannot be touched, and an accessory photographed alone says nothing about its size.

The material detail

The product still life

The clean shot for the product page, with the same colour temperature and treatment as the whole series: on the e-commerce grid the photographs must not fight each other.

The social image

From the same session we also get the freer shots, the ones that catch the eye on the profile and bring a person to the product page.
